In the kingdom of Angerman there is a small village deep in the heart of the countryside engulfed by forest and vines. A young girl named Eiledon lives there. After being struck by lightning while out for a walk, she started to sing but one single note, a sole note that had never been heard before and which no instrument could reproduce! Even more astonishing is that this note has the power to lift the burden of emotional or physical suffering from anybody who hears it… It’s a troubled time in the kingdom of Angerman. The old king, Dumas IV, has died, and his successor, Damien, is too young and withdrawn to reign. What’s more, the Queen mother and the terrifying Cardinal intend to hold on to their control over the kingdom. However, the supporters of the king, who are enemies of the Cardinal, have heard talk of this Eiledon and begin a search in the hope that this note, when sung before Damien, will make the young monarch lose his reserve and assert himself! Rumor of this conspiracy reaches the Cardinal who refuses to give up his power – even to a king! And so the race begins in which the young Eiledon becomes the prize sought after by both sides.
