Antonio Polsinelli, the son of an Italian immigrant living in Vitry-sur-Seine, goes to Sora, in Italy,  to take over a vineyard bequeathed to him by his friend who’s just been murdered. But Antonio’s disappointment will be as bitter as the undrinkable wine he’s inherited. Only a miracle from the statue of Saint’Angelo in the vineyard’s chapel could possibly help him now. To Antonio’s astonishment, his wish is granted. Not only does the local beggar recover his sight, but the terrible wine becomes smooth as velvet. Its price shoots up, and the faithful flock to buy. Unfortunately, all this draws the attention of the previous owner: an American gangster, who wants to claim a perfectly reasonable 25% of the profits…
