The first cycle of Alta Donna came to an end with volume 3. This new cycle begins with a new look – smaller size – a new title, and a new illustrator in the purest MiniKim style.Peace has returned to the town of Alta Donna. Damiano and Ines (who, as you might remember, have just escaped from fairytale land) are delighted that life has returned to normal, and no one has seen the ferrets for months. Basically, Nola has had a nice uneventful summer… and by uneventful I mean a seriously boring one! She has become addicted to adventure and now she needs another fix. So much so that she has started to see strange goings on everywhere she looks. The woman selling ice cream down by the port looks a bit shifty – could she be an old witch trying to snatch children? And that new teacher is far too kind and handsome to be true!But try as she might, Nola can’t find anything out of the ordinary. Is it time for her to stop dreaming and accept boring old reality?
