In England at the beginning of the twentieth century, a child finds himself orphaned, stripped of his inheritance and persecuted by his guardians. Running away, he falls into the hands of a circus owner – a particularly vicious type who plans to make good use of his catch… for the boy, it must be noted, was born with two left hands. And his ‘extra’ left hand, drawing force from his terror, can transform anything it touches. The young man is destined to become a fairground attraction, a sideshow freak exhibited from town to town… until the day he decides it’s time to take revenge.
Double Left is a dark and violent tale. Its central theme is the issues of free will: Our protagonist has a gift, but how will he use it?
Is he condemned to live for vengeance, or will he choose redemption? The style is influenced by American comics and by Torpedo, and the story unfolds over three volumes.
