For a number of months, the author of this graphic novel lived in an apartment overlooking a primary school playground. During that time, her daily life became interwoven with the children’s, as she experienced the rhythm of their lives, their playtimes, their universe. Illustrated in a way that we are always looking down on them from above, we are just onlookers to these childrens’ world, although sometimes privileged with a closer look, as we zoom in on their captivating antics.
Laetitia Coryn is the author of two graphic novels: “Le monde merveilleux des vieux” (The Wonderful World of Old People) volumes 1 and 2, available on Drugstore. As an illustrator, she has collaborated with Pat Perna on “La question de Dieu” (The Question of God), published by 12bis. She has also contributed to volumes 2 and 3 of “En chemin elle rencontre…” (On the way, she meets…), a collaborative series aiming to raise awareness of violence against women.
