Young Philemon lives in the countryside and spends most of his time
day-dreaming with his donkey Anatole. On a walk one day, he meets
Barthélémy the well-digger who is searching for his lost island
paradise: the letter ‘A’ from the word ‘Atlantic’. With the help of his
old uncle Phélicien, who knows how to get there, they often journey over
to this parellel universe. Unfortunately, things don’t always go as
planned, and they sometimes find themselves transported to other
letters, where they come across some truly bizarre characters… This
wacky and wonderful universe was first created by Fred for PILOTE in
1965. His imaginative art style, unusual compositions, incredibly
detailed panels, cheeky references, tricks and graphic treasures will
leave every reader wanting more.
