Jo is a responsible teenager with, to all appearances, a normal, happy life. Busy with their work, her parents taught her at an early age how to look after herself. Nothing, except her attempts to protect her younger sister from joining a bad crowd, pre-destines her to meet Laurent. Laurent’s father is strongly against his wish to be a musician, so Laurent promptly rejects his family and their plans for him. Jo is soon seduced by the talent and the charm of this outsider. What intrigues her most is the painful secret Laurent refuses to reveal. He eventually confesses that since his brother died of Aids, he’s scared of being contaminated or of contaminating someone else. So Jo decides to go with him to a doctor where, for moral support, she also takes the test…
