With only two records to her name, Judee Sill did not have time to leave a mark on the American musical landscape. Yet she was one of the most unique and original singers of the 1970s. A young delinquent and drug addict for most of her life, she nevertheless found a way to channel her energy into music, becoming a rising star in the firmament of a booming Californian music scene. A series of bad decisions and a breakup with her producer would cut her off from the music industry and end her career. She died alone, forgotten, at the age of 37.
