In an imaginary world, the creatures of the forest are forced to flee by the sudden appearance of a gigantic fire-breathing dragon. But Pabo the rat, Buck the clumsy raccoon, and Cleo the little fairy decide to make the dangerous journey to the edge of the forest, in the hope of finding refuge with their Goddess. On the way, they run into BoumBoum, the famous warrior, who is determined to make the dragon his 105th conquest! But tension soon grows between Pabo, who claims a single great triumph that nobody has ever heard of, and BoumBoum, who believes that only he can save the forest from destruction. It isn’t long, though, before they must both change their tune, because, when the reach the sanctuary, they discover a painful truth: they are merely fictional characters invented by the Goddess, who is really a children’s author. And that is not the worst thing. The Goddess is dying, and anyone she has yet to put in one of her books — including Pabo and Cleo — will die with her…
