Disappointed by a hostile welcome from the villagers , four blind people (one who is cheating and one who is deaf, because of a walkman in the ear) decide to go take some rest in a quiet area . As it happens, a hermitage inhabited by a beautiful, rather talkative nun , called “the anonymous nun” or “the most beautiful lady” – the mysterious and haughty ideal, in any case. Thereupon a poor knight turns up, a nod to another of F’Murrrr stories, in charge of a quest by his secretariat. And then there is the fox Renart and the fairy Nievenne, who once had a complicated relationship with Merlin. And all these people trudge along the roads, with appropriate comments about the local wildlife – rabbits, owls, goblins, etc. In short, it’s a mess – but in a medieval high-end style, with pure twelfth century humor, impeccably refined language and pointed references to everything that makes the era so charming.
