She’s a young woman of today, but she’s an outlaw. It’s her family’s tradition:
they’re all prisoners in Russia, descended from a long line of robbers. Her
grandmother survives on vodka and cornflakes. Her family only steals magical
objects, however. Heliotrope is ignorant of her family history and has no
idea of the dangers that weigh on them. She steals out of love, but is always
disappointed.
