Luca Marini, a student at the University of Turin, considers himself lucky — and who wouldn’t? After all, a famous professor has sent him to Rome for a research project on symbols of power in antique sculpture.
But Luca’s enthusiasm quickly gives way to confusion and alarm. First, working in the storerooms of the national museum, he is intrigued by a statue that represents a she-wolf gripping a dagger in its teeth. Then he runs into a beautiful young Roman girl on the street. Irresistibly seductive, she seems fascinated by Luca. Strangely enough, she wears a pendant representing the same image as that of the statue in the museum…
After a passionate bout of lovemaking, Luca finds himself transported to the streets of Rome at the time of Julius Caesar, in 44 B.C. He is quickly caught up in the plot for Caesar’s assassination. Will Luca end up changing the course of history? Has he been sent into the past for some important purpose? Is all of this a dream? Many compelling questions will be answered as this exciting, five-volume series unfolds.
