When the German tanks roll into Paris, they mark the end of the carefree youth of Sarah, André and Louis. The three inseparable friends will each respond profoundly, and each in a different way, as they struggle to make sense of a world they no longer recognize.Sarah, a student of German Jewish background, decides to stay in Paris and do what she can to resist. André, a patriotic idealist, heads to London to join General de Gaulle after his Appeal of June 18th.
