Make love and die in Neopolis!

The people of Neopolis have contracted a virus that makes all physical contact with the opposite sex fatal—and therefore illegal. Bunkerville

In a fit of depression, golden boy Laurel dives into the sea to rejoin the lost love of his life, Eleanora. But when he reopens his eyes, he finds himself in a Victorian town on a man-made island that looks like a set from a Jules Verne movie adaptation.

Permanently shrouded in fog, Bunkerville was built in the mid-19th century by a wealthy industrialist whose son was mentally ill. His idea was to create a closed, self-sufficient world in which the boy could live a “normal” life with people like himself—all of them with mental problems.

Discovering signs that Eleanora, whom he thought he would never see again, is on the island, Laurel sets out to find her. But his troubles have only just begun.

Origines

These stories marked the beginning of a long-running adventure saga that continues to this day. This collection includes seven early stories that brought Vaillant onto the scene and made him what he is today. A fascinating look into the origins of a classic, with a vibrant retro style.
