A series of three 70-page albums covering the main events of Jacques Prévert’s life. The first volume begins in 1920 at Constantinople’s spice market, where Prévert is carrying out his military service with Marcel Duhamel, the man behind the “Série Noire”, a series of detective novels. On his return to Paris in 1922, Prévert moves into 54 rue du Château, where he begins his affiliation with the surrealist movement. Always an impulsive character, he was an object of fascination for André Breton due to his creative loquaciousness and that brazen Parisian demeanour that pushed him to challenge all forms of authority.
