It is 2038, and war has broken out between the North and South Arrecquero Islands. Fee, a passionate but marginalized teenager, is trying to carry on as normal, but her mother is the commander of a warship and every day Fee runs the length of the beach hoping to see her return home safe. During a ceasefire to coincide with the Olympic Games, Fee decides to run, barefoot, in a local athletics competition. But her moment of glory is soon forgotten amid the horrors of war, and Fee must instead run for her life.
