New York, 1939. A mysterious man moves into a small hotel as he searches for Ben Koch, a Spaniard who has not kept his word. The owner of the hotel, Red, claims not to have heard from Ben, but the man does not believe him. He decides to wait for him. And indeed, before long Red informs Koch that someone is after him and that he was seen destroying a tomb with a hammer. Why? What is he looking for? The FBI are on his trail too…
