Graphic novelist Blutch has always had a keen interest in “bande dessinée” and its history. In an homage to the art form, he has taken a page or sequence from the works of some of the classics of the genre and reproduced them in his own inimitable style. It is a fascinating exercise that sees him take on the likes of Morris, Franquin, Hergé, Jacobs, Manara, Graton, Lauzier, Pétillon and many more. Each page is devoted to a different author and each work is chosen for its significance to Blutch as a source of inspiration.
