This science-fiction series is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has regressed to a primitive stage after a nuclear catastrophe. The oceans have all dried up and chimera have appeared, with some tribes surviving in the wild. Among them black child lives, rejected by his own people. When the old wizard of his adopted tribe is condemned to death, the black child begins walking to Niourk, the city of the gods, where there remain only ruins and strange mechanisms: relics of 20th-century civilization.
