Fabrice chose artistic-oriented studies. After two years of decorative arts, where he never felt quite at home, he enrolled in the comic book faculty of the Angoulême school of Fine Arts in 1989. Among his classmates were Nicolas Guénet and Stéphane Servain. He left the school three years later, diploma under his belt. He worked a little in freelance, and then, in 1993, he started at Gobelins, where he studied cartoon animation. He completed with a diploma in story-boarding.
Nonetheless, he was drawn back to the world of comic books, where he launched himself into a long line of collaborations with writer Froideval (“Atlantis”, Zenda ; “Harkhanges”, Albin Michel ; “Pile-ou-Face”, le tome 2 des “Arcanes de la lune noire”, Dargaud, 2007 ; “Terra Secunda”, volumes 15 to 17 of “Chroniques de la lune noire”, Dargaud).
