Josselin Azorin-Lara is an author, born in Maisons-Laffitte in 1976. Having been a comics fan for as long as he can remember, he’s strongly influenced by the big names in mainstream scriptwriting from all over the world, from Chris Claremont to Naoki Urasawa, Alan Moore, Uderzo, and Akira Toriyama. In 1996 he got a group of friends together to create the NEKOMIX association, where he gained his first experiences as an amateur comic book writer. From 2001 to 2009 he managed the label he co-founded called STUDIO NEKOME, where he created and developed his t-shirt brand NEKOWEAR and worked on several TV shows as author, scriptwriter and co-producer. In 2005, the STREET BATTLE project saw the light of day and brought him to meet Sylvain Dos Santos, with whom he discovered a great affinity in the realms of storytelling. From 2009 onwards, he started writing comics professionally, with original projects (“Break!”, “Samourawaii,” “Néron”) and adaptations (“Baskup,” “Tony Parker,” “Turboten”). In 2012, Sylvain Dos Santos suggested they collaborate on the “Golam” adventure series, a highly ambitious project with Le Lombard (Europe Comics in English). A year later Nicolas Sauge joined them, laying the groundwork for a wonderful alchemy! Azorin-Lara has been living in India since 2013, where he’s opened MINTE, a comics production studio, through which he continues his collaboration in the “Golam” project.
