Bannister was born in 1973. At the age of 17, he left his high school to study art in the neighbouring town. With a diploma under his belt, he spent a year at the Emile Cohl school which he quickly left for less creative though better-paid jobs… In 1998, he participated in the creation of an internet start-up, which, incredibly, still exists today.
In 2002, he took his pencils out again to draw comic books, a much more creative though less well-paid profession. His first album “Félicité Bonaventure” appeared in 2004, though unfortunately, the series stopped almost before it had begun. At the same time, he started collaborating on the anthology “Flight” in the USA, and on a variety of small projects here and there.
In 2007, “Les Enfants d’Ailleurs” was published by Dupuis where the children of the title found warmth, creativity and food in abundance. In the end, all’s well that ends well. Or rather, everything is off to a good start!
