Fabrice Erre, born in 1973 in Perpignan, is an author and teacher of comics, as well as an accomplished historian. Through his comics, he seeks above all to parody human behavior, teasing out our little personal weaknesses and our vulnerability to manipulation by the masses. Erre’s work includes “Démonax” (2006) and “La Mécanique de l’angoisse” (2011) with publisher Six Pieds sous Terre, and “Z comme Don Diego” (2012) with Dargaud, followed by the hit series “Une année au lycée” (2014), and the outrageously funny — and simply outrageous — collection of shorts, “Guide sublime” (2015). Most recently, putting his history background to good use, Erre has teamed up with artist Sylvain Savoia to create the series “Le fil de l’histoire” (Dupuis; “On the History Trail,” Europe Comics), set on bringing the past to vivid life for younger readers.
