Born on Earth at a latitude of 49.11° north and a longitude of 0.20° west on a lovely summer afternoon, Hugues Fléchard was quickly encouraged to decipher smoke signals and shapes in the clouds after being cheered on time and again by his friends with their special pronunciation of his name: “Oog!”.
Head in the clouds but feet rooted in earth, he did various jobs, some rewarding, some not, in order to sustain life, but was never very far from books. “From the clouds to the stars, it is only one step,” as Armstrong said in 1958 after his first trip without a rocket.
In 2006, he took the plunge with “Matière Fantome”. As for life, the universe and everything: he is involved in shooting a film for FILMS CHRISTIAN FECHNER (co-written with Nikolaus Roche-Kresse and Alexandra Fechner) and has further cartoon and film projects lined up.
