Nina Jacqmin was born in Brussels in 1989. Having discovered a passion for comics during her childhood, she studied in the graphic novel section of the Saint-Luc Superior School (ESA). As she made her first steps into the professional world of graphic design and illustration, she also worked in one of the biggest bars in Brussels. Her big break into this worls wasn’t immediate: plagued with negative reponses from publishing houses, her dream of being a comic book illustrator seemed further than ever. This propelled her to study infographics and pick up new skills.
In 2016, a project of hers with the writer Nicolas Antona finally caught the attention of the publishing houses, allowing them to rlelease “La tristesse de l’éléphant” with the Enfants Rouges publishing house. Since then, Nina has published a few other graphic novels, including “Mon père, Casimir et moi” and “Fumée.” In late 2024, she is set to release another work in collaboration with Nicolas Antona entitled “Le Secret de Miss Greene.”
