He moves to Luxemburg for three years and works in an animation studio, creating the “Crobs” series for France 3. As a bizarre harbinger of fate, he also works out certain intermediate sequences of “Billy the Cat” produced by Editions Dupuis.
Back in Belgium, it is again Olivier Saive who opens a door for him, introducing him to Daniel Kox for whom he works as an assistant on “L’Agent 212” for a while. As this takes up only little of his time, he illustrates children’s albums of “Souris Mousse” for Editions Hemma as of 2001, working in watercolour. He has produced about ten titles in this series by now.
Since it is only a small step from mice to cats, he accepts to take over from Colman when he is ready to give up “Billy the Cat”. Working with Stédo for the illustrations and Desberg for the script, “La vie de chaton” is his first album at Dupuis in 2003, and the adventure continues there.
