On November 22, 1963, US President John F. Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas. Two days later, his successor Vice President Lyndon Jonhson, decides to support Saigon with Memorandum 273, which makes official the deployment of American forces to Vietnam.
The “Air forces Vietnam” series relates the adventures of Jimmy Booster, enlisted in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict of the 1960s and 70s.
In the spring of 1964, younf Booster boards the aircraft carrier USS Constellation, headed for Asia to support the South Vietnamese army. He joins the VF-142 fighter group, made up of the famous F-4 Phantoms, and there he meets his fellow crew member Isaac Brown and the mysterious Captain Darkman. After a tricky mission, he will have an easy passage into the heart of the conflict after the Gulf of Tonkin incident on Augunst 2, 1964.
