The first humorous and psychoanalytical Western.
Sigmund Freud is fed up with the old biddies in Vienna and their wishy-washy ego problems. Adventure is calling. He’s made up his mind, he’s going off to psychoanalyse the cowboys and the Mexican killers of the Wild West. At last a task worthy of his abilities, he’s going to ‘psychoanalyse them till they cry for their mothers’. The only problem is that cowboys don’t have sofas and prefer tar and feathers to any mention of their unhappy childhood.
Never mind, Sigmund won’t give up that easily, he has at last found a good patient: a rather nice stray dog who has chosen a life in the wilderness. ‘Temps de chien’ is a true Western covering the story of a friendship between a the much celebrated genius and a dog.
