It’s 1943, and 19-year-old Aubie is the pilot of S-Snow White, a
Lancaster bomber in the Royal Air Force.
Like the others around him, he must face the constant anxiety of the
next mission, and the uncertainty of not knowing whether he’ll come
home. Luckily, he and his companions know how to reassure each other by
talking big.
And when things get tough, one can always cheer up with the mascot, with
rum, or in the arms of Sarah…
Aubie has seen his friends go down under enemy guns. He knows that life
is short.
And then there’s Lisa, with her doll. As Aubie drops his bombs over
Germany, how can he forget the little girl who lost her mother in the
London Blitz?
