“I don’t belong to you, you don’t belong to me”: In theory, everyone agrees, but in practice, things often get more complicated!
Sacha and Hector are friends and comic creators; one is single, the other’s in a relationship. When Jeanne, Hector’s girlfriend, decides to explore new aspects of her sexuality (and her bisexuality) without him, the couple is put to the test. Totally thrown for a loop, Hector confides in Sacha, who finds the idea fascinating. They come to the realization that they’re both useless: the one who’s single is unable to make the slightest move; the other, devoid of curiosity and devoured by jealousy, now finds himself in an open relationship.
By combining the power of their imaginations the way they do when working on a comic, they hope to find the strength to act and embark on a shared adventure. This arrangement gives rise to “William”, a fictional persona that one or the other adopts for each new experience–until the day when everything goes wrong….
Both funny and tormented, this tragicomedy explores the new mores of sexual identity. Published in conjunction with Arte, broadcaster of the eponymous web series of which the comic is a variation, not an adaptation.
