In 1998, Odile is a young Frenchwoman who has recently arrived in Berlin as part of a university exchange program. A promising archaeology student, she has won a scholarship to prepare an exhibition on the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb by Howard Carter. Her meeting with a young Italian, Ruben, a pseudo-artist who never finished his art studies, marks the beginning of a passionate yet tormented love story.
We follow in parallel the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamen by Carter in 1922. Between Egypt and Berlin, through the ages, the story has at its center the hypericum or St. John’s wort, a plant with particular properties…
