Woody Woodstock, the sailor, conceals his face behind a mask of wood and does not like being asked to take it off. Whenever he tries to explain, his nose grows longer! A man named Chester Darling, an ex-exorcist, offers to heal him. He leads Woody to a strange house, where he meets a strange group of blind men who reveal his true nature: he is the adult Pinocchio. They say that he is, like them, a victim of choice for supernatural creatures like cryptozoides (vampires), ghosts, and fairies… Strong as a bear and almost indestructible, Woody turns out to be a perfect assistant for Chester Darling, who is actually a monster hunter.
