In 1969, on the night following his death, the
Indian healer Eagle Glance appeared in a dream to his disciple and
revealed that his soul had found refuge in the body of a baby – the
first one the disciple would meet when he woke up. To his surprise, the
first newborn the shaman encountered was crying loudly in a station
wagon, next to the bodies of a pair of ‘palefaces’ who had been savagely
killed! The Shoshones adopted James and brought
him up. Very early, the young ‘paleface’ showed signs of clairvoyance,
just as Eagle Glance had… Today, James Healer is a detective. He
collaborates with local police forces and the FBI, whose agents don’t
always appreciate his abilities to solve the most tangled cases put
before them. James’ main obsession, however, is to solve the riddle of
his own origin…A detective series with a hint of shamanism, masterfully written by the author of ‘Durango’ and ‘Prince of the Night.’ Before ‘Wisher’ and ‘Kris Valnor’, Giulio De Vita put his drawing skills at the service of this story in three volumes.
