Three minors are on the run. Fleeing domestic violence and urban solitude, Manu, Julie and Anna find refuge in a house in the forest. In the cellar they discover a carved standing stone representing the ‘Door to Heaven’. It is said that it is the place where one can speak to the dead, a legend that has special significance for the three friends who have already tried to put an end to their days… They begin to feel a little nervous with Vincent, the goat breeder, who seems to observe the adolescents with perhaps too much interest. The three fugitives’ closest neighbour is a painter, David. Every year he paints a portrait of his daughter, who mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Is it just by chance that one of the three young girls looks like she could be the missing girl’s sister…?
