In 1972, Florence Cestac, Etienne Robial and Denis Ozanne, galvanized by the spirit of May ‘68, opened the doors of a small comics shop located in Paris’s 15th arrondissement. They would soon bring about a peaceful revolution in their own way, replacing the paving stones with books, and slogans with word balloons… Florence Cestac tells the story – in comics form, of course – of Futuropolis, the bookstore that became a publishing house and eventually evolved into a crucible for the contemporary bande dessinée.
