“The Flying Camp”, this was what folks from the Ardennes to Lorraine called the makeshift camp of vagabonds, set up on the side of the road in a way that it could be hastily packed up when the time came. The camp imagined by René Hausman is on the border of the visible and the invisible, between family secrets and the mysteries of nature. So it is that, between reality and fiction, this work reveals the ins and outs of a long-forgotten oral tradition.
