The culmination of a meeting between a major comic creator and a renowned energy and climate specialist, this project is undeniably necessary. Smart, concise, and funny, the comic discusses, chapter after chapter, the profound changes our planet is undergoing, our dependence on fossil fuel and other non-renewable energy sources, and the consequences that are already apparent for human life on the planet.
Although Jean-Marc Jancovici focuses on energy issues and climate change, he doesn’t ignore social, ecological and economic implications (could the pursuit of economic growth at any price be a delusion?). Christophe Blain, in the role of Candide, provides the lavish, surprising, and always instructive art.
