Monsieur and Madame Moniot have found the love nest they’ve been looking for. It’s on the second floor of N°109, a mid-rent apartment building in a pleasant housing estate just outside the city. Now it’s time for this likeable, ordinary middle-class French couple to meet their neighbors…
Marcel, the concierge, knows how to make sure that everyone remembers their “civic obligations.” His police dog is similarly persuasive, and his voluptuous Russian companion, Irina, is very, very friendly.
Also on the ground floor lives Marie-Rose, an imposing octogenarian who’s never seen fit to marry. She’s always ready to help — but equally ready to gossip.
On the second floor are Iggy and Luna, a “gothic” couple with a passion for hard rock and with very few taboos.
On the seventh floor lives Gaétano Ferrari, a gay (but not particularly happy) actor, who is looking for the role that will make him a star. Across the hall are Peace Pipe and Two Moons, alias Jean-Claude and Josiane. Very into “peace and love,” they still live on Woodstock time, and their only regret is having brought a capitalist into the world: their son is the CEO of a multinational corporation!
Then there are Dirty Slut and Muscle Man. They snub each other during the day, but at night they exchange torrid e-mail in the privacy of their apartments.
And, finally, there’s the very proper Jean-Hubert, who has been plunged into depression ever since his devoted wife, Anne-Marie-Charlotte, developed an interest in the young parish priest…
Since all their furniture has been accidentally forwarded to Lourdes, the Moinots are going to have to learn to “appreciate” their neighbors’ hospitality!
Guaranteed gags on every floor. And, behind each door, a little bit of each of us… A delightful assortment of savory characters!
