Seeing as we are in a conquered country, we might as well help ourselves
to their resources! This is what the Nazis think when they occupy Belgium,
and they have an enormous need for funds to finance the occupation of the
whole of Europe and the Eastern front which is dragging on. But the Belgians
can see the Nazis coming and decide to entrust their reserves to France for
safekeeping. France loads the gold onto a cargo ship bound for Africa. The
gold finally arrives in Dakar but is then intercepted by the Germans, and the
treasure is sent back to Germany by train.
