Since March, Charlie Zanello has been immersed in the distinctive and enormous establishment that is “La Maison de la Radio.” A place of history, an architectural landmark, a hotspot of journalism, culture and music… Here, the comics reporter Charlie Zanello invites readers to the heart of radio. He recounts the behind-the-scenes happenings, the daily operations, and the human relationships inside this famous place that is both intimately part of listeners’ lives and yet mysterious.
How does such an organization structure itself? Who works in the shadows? How does an editorial work? How many technicians are there behind a star presenter? What time do morning hosts wake up?
This album aims to answer all of these questions and more with humor, respect, and curiosity.
Having trained at the University of Strasbourg followed by Metz, Charlie Zanello worked for six years at the Centre Pompidou-Metz, an experience that he related in comic form with the publisher Dargaud. An artist, illustrator, and comics author, he has also worked for the periodical Fluide Glacial since 2012.
