Two exceptional authors tell us the story of a modern-day Europe at war. Gani Jakupi, writer, journalist, jazz musician and artist, is from Kosovo. He left his country when it was in the grip of a civil war, and later returned to rejoin his family and to testify. How will he find his place in the world? How will he find his voice, between personal heartbreak and political doubts? Jorge Gonzalez is an artist with the power to express ineffable emotions, able to evoke palpable feelings of identity and its immutable connection with geography. This is a talent which he has already demonstrated in his two previous works, ‘Bandonéon’ and ‘Chère Patagonie’. The powerful voice of Jakupi is carried by Gonzalez’ lyrical artwork in an ideal partnership.
