A biography of Laurent Garnier- the DJ who brought techno to France. This year, Laurent Garnier will be celebrating his 25 years behind the decks in both Paris and Manchester. He is the first Frenchman to do so well abroad in the electronic music business. Named ‘the greatest DJ of all time’ by Mixmag music magazine, he always performs to a full house when he mixes in clubs or at music festivals, and he even takes part in projects outside of electronic music, such as playing live at Salle Pleyel, the Louvre, the Pont du Gard and the ‘Jazz à Vienne’ music festival. He also composes music for films, dances, and, most recently, a ballet. He works for radio too… in fact he’s almost omnipresent in the media.
