In a devastated and divided future world, Horace, a young hoodlum from the bombed-out zone, is conscripted into a new force, specially created to colonize new planets across the universe. But once aboard the reconnaissance craft among a detachment of Space Marines hungry for violence and conquest, Horace realizes he is out of place and determines to sabotage the mission, or else desert from it, as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, every time he is about to take action, something happens to thwart his plans.
