Adopted by Indians as a boy, James Healer has some disconcerting abilities as a psychic medium, which he now puts into service working for the FBI.

In 1969, on the night following his death, the Indian healer Eagle Glance appeared in dream to his disciple and revealed that his soul had found refuge in the body of a baby – the first one the disciple would meet when he woke up. To his surprise, the first newborn the shaman encountered was crying loudly in a station wagon, next to the bodies of a pair of ‘palefaces’ who had been savagely killed ! A medal around his neck identified the baby as James Healer. As for his supposed parents, they had no identification, and no one came forward to claim the baby.
