On an island in the middle of the ocean called Volibia, lives a little girl called
Rosamee and her parents. Life is peaceful enough and Rosamee spends
much of her time playing with Gaspy, a majestic bird that can speak, and her
best (and only) friend! But Rosamee is intrigued by another island where it
is forbidden to go. Gaspy offers to go there alone and then to take her there
when he returns if there is no danger. Rosamee reluctantly accepts. Worried
that her friend will not come back, she decides to go there in a makeshift boat
and discovers that the inhabited island is rather dangerous…
