As the flagship series of Spirou mag for about 60 years, ‘Tif et Tondu’
generated some absolute gems, such as ‘L’Ombre sans corps’, an episode
published in the famous weekly in 1969. The alchemy between the artist,
Willy Maltaite, alias Will, and the writer Maurice Tillieux was at its
zenith. Will reproduces the warm torpor of the French lunch hour with
lucid poetry, while Tillieux creates an increasingly bewitching atmosphere
around his legendary Mr.Choc, the unforgettable masked ‘bad-guy’
